GeoGebra to Create Graphs for Brain Power Math

Brain Power Math has no internal graphing function. However, you can import graphs as images. An easy way to do this, is to use a free application called GeoGebra. This application allows you to easily draw graphs that can be imported into questions that you have created in Brain Power Math.

It’s really easy and straightforward. Here is a step by step guide on how to import graphs that have been created in GeoGebra into Brain Power Math Authoring Tool.

Step 1: Create an image in GeoGebra.

Step 2: File – Export – Graphics View as Picture

Step 3: Select Portable Network Graphics (png) and save the file to your hard drive.

Step 4: In Brain Power Math Authoring Tool on the Question edit screen click browse under the image box and select the image from the directory that you have saved it in from GeoGebra.

Step 5: To attach an image to a question step click the browse button beside the image box on the “Add a Step” screen. Select the image from the folder that you have saved it in from GeoGebra.

 

Step 6: The Graph will appear as follows on Brain Power Math Student Tool when the thumbnail is clicked by the student.
